I have a certain philosophy about creative writing. Whether it’s poetry or prose, I never sit myself down and command myself to write. I simply don’t have it in me to force it. Rather, I write only as a direct response to the happenings of my life. As they’re happening. Much of what you see is unrefined; it exists as it did when it first poured out of my heart. I write what I need to unload, and tend not to look back (unless an English professor were to demand a revision).

Hope I didn’t make that too apparent.
